Framework 7 Application - Regions of Knowledge Proposal - January 2012
Líonra is associated with a Proposal submitted by a transnational consortium led by NUI, Galway in response to a Regions of Knowledge Call for Proposals addressing Resource Efficient Communities. The proposal submitted on the 29th of January, 2012 focuses specifically on energy efficiency which is increasingly important for regions around Europe.
- RECORD brings regions and research-driven clusters together to identify, document, disseminate and replicate best practice, to provide mentoring and experience-sharing and to formulate and deliver a joint research action plan to drive innovation and energy efficiency.
- Renewable energy sources addressed in the proposal include:
biomass, wind, offshore and solar
Partners involved in the RECORD proposal had to conform to the EU template for research-driven clusters, namely, the Triple Helix. The individual partners are shown in Fig 1.
